DRIFFIELD UNDER 16 BOYS
The first month of League matches for U16 Boys was last Sunday at the KC Stadium in Hull.
Despite only have 2 training sessions before these matches the team performed admirablely! They easily out played the first three oppositions,.
They beat Slazengers 3-0, Sheffield 4-0 and Wakefield A 4-1. With goals spread across the midfield and forwards. (Scott Bristowe 3, Andre Vauvelle 3, Peter Hamilton 3, Jacob Hazell and Henry Harrison) .
Then came the test when the team began to tire with only the bare 11 and no subs for leg relief they battled on, but gaps were appearing in the midfield and thus a loss of 2-0 against Bradford was recorded.
In the final match against Doncaster they battled hard but again no attacks were forthcoming and a 0-0 result the score.
Thank you to Guy Bristowe for umpiring all 5 games, Ian Falkingham for his sideline instructions and team motivation, Polly and Poppy Burgess for helping out the boys team and all the supporters for their encouragement.
